A CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) involves planning and coordinating recreation -based therapeutic programs to improve patients' physical, mental, and emotional well -being.

Key responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing individualized treatment plans using activities like sports, arts, and community outings, and documenting patient progress. CTRSs use creative, goal -oriented interventions to help patients cope with stress, learn social skills, and regain independence.
