Job Description:
This is professional services work in negotiating, processing, administering, and monitoring contracts, grants, and other purchase of service agreements. Work includes communicating with providers, providing information and assistance, evaluating provider performance, and coordinating and conferring with outside resources in the delivery of services. Knowledge and experience with MaineDOT’s financial, contract management, and electronic filing system is preferred (e.g. TRACS, AMS, TEDOCS, FREE2000, MEPlans, MS Excel, and Bid Express). Work is performed under general supervision.
Representative Tasks: Through the Contract Procurement Office (CPO), this position will administer consultant contracts, consultant evaluations, railroad agreements, Municipal Partnership Agreements, Purchase Agreements, Requests for Proposals, and other tasks as assigned.
In addition to CPO duties, this position will assist Maintenance and Operations (M&O). M&O work includes communicating with providers, contractors, suppliers and Department employees providing contract process assistance and information, coordinating and conferring with outside and department resources in the delivery of materials, services and work, evaluating provider performance and analyzing and reviewing program practices to propose changes to improve effectiveness. This position will evolve as required due to systems upgrades, changing laws and regulations, and the specific needs of the M&O Contracting group.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:
Education, training, and/or experience demonstrating competence in contract or grant administration.
