Job Details

We are looking for a skilled and motivated attorney with a minimum of 4 years of experience in labor and employment law to join our legal department. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising the company on a wide range of labor and employment matters, providing proactive legal counsel, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a variety of labor and employment issues, including but not limited to, employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour compliance, employee benefits, workplace health and safety, and employee relations.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making and provide recommendations to management on labor and employment-related matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements, policies, and procedures, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with company objectives.
Represent the company in administrative proceedings, investigations, and litigation matters involving labor and employment issues.
Develop and conduct training programs for employees and management on labor and employment law compliance, best practices, and risk mitigation strategies.
Stay informed about changes in labor and employment laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company, proactively advising stakeholders on necessary actions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, compliance, and business operations, to address legal issues and support business initiatives.
Assist with other legal matters and projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to contribute to the overall success of the legal department and the company.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar and in good standing.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience practicing labor and employment law, preferably in a corporate or in-house legal environment.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to apply legal principles to complex business issues.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate legal concepts to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proven track record of building positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
