Role and Responsibilities
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing Apache Kafka and Confluent Kafka clusters in production environments.
- Strong understanding of Kafka architecture, components, and configurations.
- Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka components, including Kafka Streams, KSQL, Schema Registry, and Connect.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala and Go.
- Experience with Kafka security protocols, encryption, and Confluent Platform security features.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools for Kafka, such as Confluent Control Center or others.
- Proficient in scripting languages for automation, with experience in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with different teams and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on the latest Kafka developments, including features such as Apache Flink and updates from both Apache Kafka and Confluent.
