Contract Recruiter

Job Description - Contract Recruiter

PEPL has been engaged to place a Contract Recruiter for a client in Norcross, GA. The Contract Recruiter will own the full-cycle hiring across manufacturing, engineering, technology, operations, technical, and professional roles, with potential to convert to a permanent position.

You will partner with hiring managers from the plant floor to the corporate office, filling everything from skilled trades and production supervisors to software engineers, quality leads, and finance professionals. This is a hands-on, high-volume seat for a recruiter who moves easily between hourly and salaried searches and builds trust quickly with candidates and leaders alike.

Key responsibilities

  • Full-cycle recruiting: Manage requisitions end to end, from intake and sourcing through screening, interviews, offer, and onboarding handoff.

  • Diverse role portfolio: Recruit across manufacturing (production, maintenance, skilled trades, supervisors), engineering (mechanical, electrical, process, quality, manufacturing), technology (software, IT, data, infrastructure), operations (supply chain, logistics, plant leadership), technical (technicians, lab, field service), and professional roles (finance, HR, sales, administration).

  • Hiring manager partnership: Run intake meetings to define requirements, set realistic timelines, and advise on market conditions, compensation, and candidate availability.

  • Proactive sourcing: Build pipelines through job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, referrals, trade schools, technical colleges, professional associations, and community networks.

  • Volume and specialized hiring: Balance high-volume hourly hiring with targeted searches for hard-to-fill technical and leadership roles.

  • Candidate experience: Communicate promptly and transparently with candidates at every stage, and represent the company as an employer of choice.

  • Screening and assessment: Conduct phone and video screens, evaluate technical and cultural fit, and present well-qualified shortlists with clear recommendations.

  • Offers and closing: Extend offers, negotiate within approved ranges, and coordinate background checks, drug screens, and pre-employment requirements.

  • ATS and data integrity: Keep the applicant tracking system accurate and current, and report on pipeline health, time-to-fill, and source effectiveness.

  • Events and outreach: Represent the company at career fairs, hiring events, and campus or trade-school visits as needed.

  • Compliance: Follow all EEO, OFCCP (if applicable), and state and federal employment regulations throughout the hiring process.

Required qualifications

  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, in-house or agency.

  • Proven success hiring for manufacturing, engineering, or technical roles, plus exposure to professional or corporate positions.

  • Strong sourcing skills, including Boolean search and LinkedIn Recruiter.

  • Hands-on experience with at least one applicant tracking system (e.g., Workday, ADP, iCIMS, Greenhouse, SuccessFactors, UKG, or similar).

  • Clear, confident communication with candidates, hiring managers, and senior leaders.

  • Strong organization and follow-through in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Working knowledge of employment laws and compliant hiring practices.
