Job Description - Contract Specialist - Medicare

The Baldwin Group is a dedicated team of professionals who specialize in business insurance, employee benefits, retirement planning, and personal insurance. The Baldwin Group Personal and Health Insurance works with healthcare companies, medical providers, and community organizations. We're known as one of the top Field Marketing Organizations (FMO's) in our industry. The Group ranks as one of the top 20 insurance brokers in the United States.

The Contracts Specialist is responsible for monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements, tracking key performance metrics, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of claims. The ideal candidate will have a background in contract administration, healthcare, or insurance, with knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements and Medicare policies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and manage contracts with healthcare providers, including negotiating rates and terms, monitoring compliance, and addressing operational issues.
• Monitor contract performance using established metrics and communicate results to key stakeholders.
• Research and analyze federal and state regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with Medicare policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
• Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to contract management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements and Medicare policies
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage complex projects.
• Familiarity with federal and state regulatory requirements and Medicare policies.
• The ability to work collaboratively with team members.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• At least 3-5 years of experience in contract administration, healthcare, or insurance industries
