Contracting Specialist

Cortina Solutions is seeking a Contracting Specialist to support a government customer in Albuquerque, NM.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Duties:

• Provide cradle-to-grave contract support, such as conducting market research, preparing pre- and post-award solicitation documentation, reviewing proposals for compliance, performing cost/price evaluations, assisting with negotiating positions, reviewing and processing invoices, assisting in developing acquisition strategies, and performing contract administration.


• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with federal regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS) and organizational policies


• Assist in the acquisition process, including developing requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotes (RFQs), and solicitations


• Assist the Contracting Offer in the oversight of contract performance


• Maintain accurate records of contract documents, amendments, and correspondence for audits and reviews


• Identify potential contractual risks and recommend solutions to address or mitigate them

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Acquisition Management, Contracting or related field


• Minimum of 10 years’ experience with DoD contracting


• Familiarity with systems like SAM.gov and/or CPARS


• Certifications from CPCM or DWAIA is preferred


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Active Top Secret Security clearance
