Contractor Technical Manager

3-YEAR BASE TERM, WITH POTENTIAL 2-YEAR EXTENSION.  MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN RANCHO CORDOVA, SACRAMENTO, VACAVILLE, AND SAN JOSE, CA.

Mandatory Requirements

• A minimum of three (3) years within the past seven (7) years configuring and implementing cloud IT solutions for large scale projects.


• A minimum of three (3) years within the past seven (7) years leading cross-functional teams for large-scale projects.


• A minimum of three (3) years within the past seven (7) years public sector experience delivering technical communication.


• A minimum of three (3) years within the past seven (7) years managing multiple stakeholders and system interfaces.


• A minimum of three (3) years within the past seven (7) years mainframe experience, including:
  
  
  
  • Extracting data from z/OS and storage systems using SMF data or specialized extractors.
  
  
  • Managing JCL members to process data on the mainframe.
  
  
  • Isolating batch job costs associated with specific job names/numbers to support accurate chargeback.
  
  
  • Setting up/supporting hierarchical customer structures for invoicing.
  
  
  
  

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of Statistical Analysis System (SAS) and SAS MXG (Merrill’s Expanded Guide) used to extract transform and load existing service usage data from source/mainframe systems.


• Knowledge and experience evaluating IBM’s Z/OS mainframe usage data for System Management Facility (SMF), Hardware Security Modules (HSM), Removable Media Manager (RMM) Tape, Direct Access Storage Devices (DASD) and Adaptable Database System (ADABAS).  Knowledge of IBM mainframe operating systems and components including Job Control Language (JCL) and Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager (TUAM).


• Knowledge and experience within data center services and related technologies, including networking, telecommunications, cloud computing, and storage solutions.
