Job Description - Contracts & Payor Relations Manager

Ready to make a difference in patient care?
Join a team that’s transforming lives. RS Medical has empowered more than 1.5 million patients to live pain-free, active lives — all from the comfort of their homes. We design and build prescription-grade medical devices that deliver effective pain relief and muscle rehabilitation, helping individuals with severe musculoskeletal conditions access safe, on-the-spot treatment when they need it most.

We’re seeking a detail-driven, process-focused Payor Relations Administration Manager to lead the accuracy, quality, and efficiency of our payor contracting operations. This role is central to ensuring all payor-related activities are documented in Salesforce accurately, timely, and completely, while also driving process improvements, leading administrative projects, and supporting the operational performance of the Payor Relations team.

If you excel at managing details, improving processes, and turning data into impactful operational decisions, this role offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to RS Medical’s mission and performance.

*Remote applicants will be considered; however, we have a strong preference for candidates currently residing in the Vancouver, WA or Portland, OR metro area who can work in a hybrid format. Please note that relocation assistance is not available.*

What You’ll Do

  • Drive operational and financial performance through accurate administration of Salesforce and payor contracts.
  • Ensure precise maintenance of all contract details, payor accounts, and price books in Salesforce, maintaining data integrity at all times.
  • Identify, prioritize, and document process improvement opportunities within Salesforce; write requirements and manage projects through IT to implement enhancements.
  • Extract, analyze, and report on Salesforce data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date contract records, agreements, price books, and related data.
  • Independently manage projects and participate in key cross-functional meetings.
  • Conduct contract negotiations when appropriate.
  • Research and interpret coverage policies, laws, and statutes relevant to our products and payor relationships.
  • Monitor payor websites, newsletters, and policy updates that may impact RS Medical products or contracts.
  • Update and verify information on contracting portals and websites.
  • Prepare and review correspondence related to payors and contracts.
  • Communicate potential contract-related issues to leadership and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and adhere to corporate processes, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Support company initiatives and demonstrate RS Medical’s core values.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Two years of medical contracting experience, or a college degree with equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce.com, SharePoint, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint (intermediate+).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Experience in creating reports and analyzing data from Salesforce.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy across complex administrative workflows.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make sound administrative decisions and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • High integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work with a variety of personalities and work styles.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company contribution
  • Annual paid vacation starting at 3 weeks, plus sick time and paid holidays
  • Life insurance, disability coverage, FSA/HSA options

This role is performed in a general office environment and may involve:

  • Frequent talking, sitting, typing, and repetitive hand/wrist motions
  • Occasional bending, standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 10 lbs.)
  • Occasional travel as needed
