Role Summary
The Contracts Manager helps driveâ¯Fusable’sâ¯commercial momentum byâ¯managingâ¯and negotiating customer, partner, and vendor agreements in a fastâpaceâ¯data analytics SaaS environment. Reporting to the Director, Commercial Counsel, this role works sideâbyâside withâ¯internal business owners,â¯Sales, Finance, Security, and Product to get deals done quickly andâ¯thoughtfully —balancingâ¯speed, smart risk management, and scalable contract terms.â¯
As part of the Legal team, the Contracts Managerâ¯(reporting to the Director, Commercial Counsel), supports the Legal team in executing and refining contracting processes as the company scales.â¯The Contracts Managerâ¯managesâ¯dayâtoâday contracting, spotsâ¯risksâ¯early in the dealâ¯cycle, andâ¯escalatesâ¯complexâ¯and non-standardâ¯issues when needed. The Legal teamâ¯operatesâ¯as a true business partner—focused on practical guidance, clear decisionâmaking, and responsive support—helping the company move fast, protect what matters, and grow responsibly whileâ¯maintainingâ¯strong legal and ethical standards.â¯
The Contracts Managerâ¯operatesâ¯with support from Commercial Counsel on complex,â¯highârisk, or novel issues. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
â¯Contract Review & Negotiationâ¯
- Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of agreements, including:â¯â¯
- Master Subscription Agreementsâ¯
- Non-Disclosure Agreementsâ¯
- Enterprise and mid-market Customer Agreementsâ¯
- Data processing agreementsâ¯
- Partner agreementsâ¯
- Vendorâ¯agreementsâ¯
- Support Sales and Customer Success during deal cycles, balancing speed with risk management.â¯
- Identify and escalate non-standard terms and legal risks as appropriate.â¯
Process Improvement & Enablementâ¯
- Help develop andâ¯maintainâ¯contract templates, clause libraries, andâ¯negotiationâ¯playbooks.â¯
- Improve contracting workflows to support scalability and deal velocity.â¯
- Provide training and guidance to Sales and internal stakeholders on contracting standards and best practices.â¯Partner with cross-functional departments to align contract terms with business objectives.
- Track contract adherence
Complianceâ¯and Risk Managementâ¯
- Support business filings, licenses, insurance renewals, and intellectual property processes.â¯
- Identifyâ¯potential legal, privacy, and security issues in contracts and partner with Commercial Counsel or other internal experts to address them.
Experience
Required:
- 3+â¯years of relevant experience in contracts management, contractsâ¯administration, or commercial legal supportâ¯
- Experience negotiating customer and vendor agreementsâ¯â¯
- Experience supporting commercial contracts in SaaS, technology, or other complex B2B environmentsâ¯
- Familiarity with data protection, privacy, and information security conceptsâ¯â¯
- Proficiencyâ¯with technology and systems, including SaaS platformsâ¯and collaboration softwareâ¯
- Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and regulatory requirements
- Impactful and persuasive in negotiation
- High attention to detail
- Proficient with CLM systems and general business software
- Ethical judgement and decision making
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skillsâ¯
- Process oriented with a growth mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in law,â¯business administration, finance,â¯orâ¯accounting; paralegal certification; contract management certification; or equivalent practical experienceâ¯and educationâ¯
- Understanding of SaaS business models (subscription, usage-based pricing, renewals)â¯â¯
- Experience withâ¯contract lifecycle management (CLM) toolsâ¯andâ¯customer relationship managementâ¯(CRM) softwareâ¯such asâ¯Salesforceâ¯
- Exposure to enterprise-level contractingâ¯
- Experience supporting high-growth environmentsâ¯
- Eastern or central time zoneâ¯
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Majority of work conducted in an office environment using standard office equipment
- Work utilizes fine motor skills to type and ability to view and see details on the screen
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at desk while working on a computer
- Ability to travel to clients or for internal meetings, as necessary
