Contracts Manager

A large government contractor based in the Northern, VA area is looking to add a strong Contracts Manager to their team! This role is direct hire and and going into the office on a hybrid schedule (1-2 days/week).

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Contracts Manager with an active TS/SCI clearance to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing government contracts, particularly in the engineering services domain. This role requires strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of federal acquisition regulations, and the ability to ensure compliance while optimizing contract performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management:

Oversee the entire lifecycle of government contracts related to engineering services, from proposal development to contract closeout.
Negotiation:

Lead negotiations with government agencies and subcontractors to establish favorable terms and conditions that align with company objectives.
Compliance:

Ensure strict adherence to federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFAR) and company policies throughout the contract execution process.
Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate contract risks, including issues related to scope, schedule, and budget, to ensure successful project outcomes.
Subcontractor Management:

Collaborate with subcontractors to monitor performance, resolve issues, and maintain positive working relationships.
Financial Oversight:

Monitor contract budgets, expenditures, and financial projections to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
Reporting:

Prepare and deliver regular contract status reports, including financial performance metrics and compliance assessments, to senior management and government stakeholders.
Audit Support:

Facilitate audits and reviews by government agencies and internal auditors, ensuring all documentation and processes are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
