About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join AstraZeneca’s Global Business Services (GBS) organization as a Contracts Specialist and provide a wide variety of legal and operational support services for the GBS Contracts Content Team (CCT). The CCT is responsible for managing and developing all core contract content and driving contract standardization across the AstraZeneca enterprise. The Contracts Specialist position requires a driven, organized, and diligent individual who will supervise the CCT’s contract management process and drive projects to accomplish team objectives. This is a highly visible role that offers excellent development opportunities.

Role & Responsibilities:
Draft, negotiate, and advise internal partners in matters related to the CCT contract templates; acting as the primary contact for contract template questions and feedback and advising directly or calling out to others, as appropriate.

Managing CCT contract template support activities, this includes contract management, repository organization, project management, and the development of playbooks to align with changes implemented in templates.

Training internal customers in the different contents of the templates owned by the CCT.

Leading various knowledge management and best practice sharing initiatives within the team, including updates to contract templates, guidance documents, and other tools and resources.

Ensuring collaboration with key partners, customer groups, and external resources to ensure seamless service.

Supporting technology and automation initiatives and best practice sharing.

Requirements:
Law firm or in-house experience, particularly in contract law for US, and EU governing law

Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills in English

Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

Business-oriented and pragmatic approach to problem-solving

Excellent organizational and project management skills including a keen eye for detail and quality control

Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively throughout all levels of an organization as well as with external parties

Desirable skills and experience:
Experience working in a global legal environment

Pharmaceutical or other regulated industry experience

Familiarity with contracting systems and tool
