Contributions Coordinator

Job Title: Contributions Coordinator

Purpose Statement:

The Contributions Coordinator is an integral member of the finance team and is responsible for all ongoing and complex gift processing, gift reporting, and donor management system coordination and configuration. The Contributions Coordinator will engage with donors, assisting throughout the giving process, and will communicate personally on behalf of the elders expressions of gratitude and encouragement. Other responsibilities include general administration as needed for the role and as required to joyfully support the staff team in fulfilling the mission and ministry of College Park Church. This role will report to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities:

• Gift Processing
  
  
  
  • Review and record all contributions in the church management system
  
  
  • Responsible for processing, batching, and scanning all contributions – online, plate/offering, welcome desk, and mail
  
  
  • Review, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies in gifts received
  
  
  • Responsible for exporting transactions from church management system to financial accounting system
  
  
  • Work with finance staff on reconciliations between church management system and financial accounting system
  
  
  • Oversee processing, coordinating, and monitoring stock, charitable fund gifts and other complex assets and estate commitments
  
  
  
  


• Donor Relations
  
  
  
  • Visible and lead responder to all donor questions on giving, contributions, and statements for all congregations that are part of College Park Church including from the website
  
  
  • Work with donors to resolve issues and pray for donors on a regular basis
  
  
  • Lead contact for distributing all donor specific communications including first time giver letters and soft credit acknowledgements
  
  
  • Primary point of contact for stock and estate gifts
  
  
  • Oversee annual contribution statement process
  
  
  
  


• Gift Reporting
  
  
  
  • Responsible for all donor and contribution reporting
  
  
  • Coordinate with Director of Finance to determine frequency and layout of standard reports
  
  
  • Ad hoc reporting for campaigns, Christmas Offering, etc. as needed
  
  
  • Prepare and distribute weekly giving reports and serve as a primary point of contact for all gift reporting for other congregations that are a part of College Park Church
  
  
  
  


• Systems Configuration & General Administration
  
  
  
  • Coordinate with IT and finance to configure church management system as needed
  
  
  • Open up and close online giving options as directed
  
  
  • Work with membership coordinator on regular database updating and as needed clean-up
  
  
  • Order contribution envelopes as needed
  
  
  • Review monthly statements from online giving processor
  
  
  • Attend staff meetings and finance team meetings
  
  
  • Special projects and other tasks as assigned
  
  
  
  

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field (e.g., business, accounting, IT, or nonprofit administration)


• Two years of customer interfacing experience strongly preferred


• Experience in the area of donor relations and administration strongly preferred


• Experience with donor/church management database systems including Ministry Platform, a plus

Work Schedule

• 
  This is a full-time, exempt role totaling approximately 40+ hours weekly, Monday-Friday. Work load commitments will vary based upon giving and seasonal patterns.


• Attendance at staff meetings and other staff functions required.
