JOB DESCRIPTION:
Moss Heating and Cooling is seeking a highly skilled and motivated construction accounting leader to join their dynamic accounting team. In this role, you will play a critical role overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

• Manage all aspects of financial operation, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and receivable, and collections.  

• Maintain daily bank reconciliations and Work in Progress Schedule 

• Reconcile all general ledger accounts for accuracy and can enter and define proper journal entries to make corrections 

• Forecast cash collections and provide reporting on cash needs and availability 

• Understand AIA billing, lien/notice process, and waiver requirements 

• Accurately account for sales and use tax, reporting on it quarterly 

• Complete TWC quarterly reporting 

• Complete monthly: job cost spreadsheet and budget 

• Make weekly cash decisions utilizing various reports to project cash needs 

• Maintain debt schedule 

• Maintain fixed asset schedule, internal fixed asset module, and depreciation entry 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bachelor's degree in accounting 

• CPA license Preferred 

• Home services accounting or HVAC Industry experience 

• Experience with Spectrum and Service Titan preferred 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience 

• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
