Job Description - Controller

We’re seeking an experienced Controller to join the leadership of a Private Equity-backed company in the Healthcare industry. This is a high-impact, fully in-office role reporting directly to the CFO, offering significant leadership, growth, and equity participation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day accounting operations: General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, and financial reporting
Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals
Ensure timely and accurate month-end close and internal/external reporting
Establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls in a high-growth environment
Support post-merger integration efforts for newly acquired businesses
Partner with the CFO on strategic planning and financial initiatives
Coordinate and manage annual audit processes with external auditors
Optimize and leverage large-scale ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP) for automation, reporting, and data integrity
Support equity partner requirements for reporting and compliance

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
CPA or parts passed is highly preferred
8+ years of progressive accounting experience
Proven leadership and team management experience
Experience in private equity-backed or acquisitive businesses highly valued
Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance
Demonstrated success with post-merger integration and change management
Expertise in large ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or SAP
