An exciting opportunity as a Controller is currently accepting applications in Indianapolis, IN. As the Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the financial reporting and analysis functions within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting, while also providing strategic financial analysis and recommendations to support key decision-making processes. You will collaborate closely with various departments and senior leadership, to deliver comprehensive financial insights and maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead the preparation and presentation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
* Oversee the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, such as management, bank, and auditors.
* Develop and implement financial analysis methodologies to assess the company's performance, financial health, and growth prospects.
* Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers impacting financial results, providing insights to senior management and department leaders.
* Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process to facilitate smooth and efficient audits.
* Participate in the development of the annual budget and long-term financial plans, aligning them with the company's strategic objectives.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in financial reporting and analysis, streamlining workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor (or higher) degree in accounting or finance; a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is preferred for this role.
* 8+ years in financial reporting, analysis, and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
* Communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
* Proficiency in financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems - Microsoft BC 365 preferred.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
