About Us

Our client is a high-end luxury residential builder based in Stuart, FL, delivering exceptional custom homes, major renovations, and boutique client projects. With a $30M annual project volume and a reputation for craftsmanship and quality, we are seeking an experienced Construction Accounting Controller to lead financial operations and support our continued growth.

What You’ll Do

As their onsite Construction Accounting Controller, you’ll play a critical role in overseeing the financial backbone of our projects. You’ll manage end-to-end construction accounting, ensure accuracy in reporting, and streamline processes using Foundation and Procore software.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage monthly financials, P&L statements, and assist with annual audits


• Oversee all construction accounting, including AIA billing and lien releases


• Manage and sync job costs between Procore and Foundation software


• Handle POs, change orders, and cost coding workflows


• Oversee invoice processing and routing for project manager approval and coding


• Ensure accurate job cost tracking for up to 10 active projects

What We’re Looking For:

Must-Haves

• Proven experience creating financial reports, P&L statements, and supporting audits


• Controller-level background in the construction industry


• Expert-level proficiency in Foundation software (non-negotiable)


• Working knowledge of Procore, especially with job cost syncing


• Strong understanding of AIA pay applications and lien processes


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or extensive relevant experience)


• Experience in residential construction (preferred: luxury homes)

Nice to Have

• CPA or similar credentials


• Experience managing long-term client accounts


• Deep familiarity with Florida construction regulations
