🔎 We’re Hiring an Experienced Controller to Lead Our Financial Operations

We’re a growing commercial and residential builder based in Lorton, VA, actively managing 50+ projects across Northern Virginia. We’re seeking a hands-on Controller with deep construction accounting expertise to lead full-cycle financial operations and help us transition from outdated software to a modern accounting system.

🔧 What You’ll Do

• Oversee financials for 25–30 commercial and 30–50 residential projects


• Handle full-cycle accounting, including job costing and credit card expense entry


• Partner with AP/AR staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency


• Investigate project-level financial issues and cost overruns


• Lead system migration from Construction Partners (DAS-based) to PeachTree or similar


• Manage dual books during the software transition


• Dive deep into financials and provide actionable insights to leadership

✅ What You Bring

• 12+ years of accounting experience


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field


• Strong construction accounting background (commercial or residential)


• Hands-on, detail-oriented leadership style


• Experience with job-level financial review and analysis


• Bonus if you’ve led or supported a system migration or software integration (PeachTree a plus)
