Responsibilities:
- Maintain an accurate general ledger, book records, and make the adjustments as needed
- Monitor cash flow
- Manage the month end/quarter end/year end closing process to ensure accurate financials
- Coordinate and prepare timely and accurate financial statements
- Prepare schedules and work papers for annual school and 403b audits, and Form 990 and Form 5500 preparation.
- System administrator for QuickBooks
- Ensure timely, accurate payment of debt service
- Manage credit card program
- Oversee payroll functions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting – MBA preferred
- 5+ years accounting experience
- Deep knowledge of accounting principles
- QuickBooks Power User
- Exceptional organization and attention to details
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Analytical skills, problem-solving and critical thinking
- Able to deal with difficult, sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google products
- Must possess a strong work ethic and be a team player
