Controller - Leading Industry Pay

CV Resources has partnered with an esteemed private school in Studio City on the search for a Controller. As the Controller, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of the institution. Your responsibilities will include overseeing accounting, budgeting, tax, audit, and financial modeling activities. Additionally, you will lead a team of 4, manage financial reports, and contribute to strategic planning and expansion initiatives. This is a full-time onsite position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise finance and accounting operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead and mentor financial team members, driving continuous improvement.
• Prepare and review financial statements, audit schedules, and reports.
• Manage budgeting processes and oversee treasury management.
• Serve on finance committees, engaging in long-term planning and cost management.
• Develop business plans and forecasts, representing the institution to financial partners.
• Oversee accounting systems, internal controls, and financial procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics required; CPA strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in nonprofit or educational sectors.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Blackbaud software required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional analytical and organizational abilities, with attention to detail.
