Controller/COO

We’re searching for an experienced Controller/COO to join our firm. This position requires a strategic financial and resource leader with a focus on process improvement, driving efficiency, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will oversee and perform financial processes, along with data analytics, HR Functions, and contribute to the overall financial health and growth of the firm. You will collaborate with the partners of the firm to assist in the overall success and assist in the development of best practices/solutions for exceptional client service.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for internal daily accounting, payroll, and bill pay services as well as monthly and year-end close.
• Utilize our internal software to analyze practice data and assist with identification of areas for improvement and process enhancement.
• Analyze revenue generation and efficiencies.
• Use and create metrics for monthly, quarterly and annual analysis to monitor business performance and prepare reports for the management team.
• Perform risk management by understanding, negotiating and interpreting firm insurances.
• Overall general administration of firm including HR assistance with hiring and retaining employees and semi-annual evaluation process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or CFA designation a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• HR Experience a plus.
