Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer with strong knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a focus on machine automation, specification review, scope review, and quoting. This role will involve working on innovative automation projects, ensuring system specifications are met, and contributing to the quoting process.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement control systems for machine automation.

Conduct thorough reviews of project specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Perform scope review to define the project deliverables, ensuring clarity for all stakeholders.

Prepare and review project quotes, ensuring all automation and control aspects are correctly accounted for.

Develop and maintain PLC programs to support automated systems.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve control system issues as they arise.

Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Maintain detailed documentation on control system design, programming, and operational processes.

Continuously optimize control systems for performance and reliability.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in control system design and programming, with a strong focus on PLCs.

Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent).

Experience with machine automation and the integration of control systems.

Strong understanding of specification and scope review processes.

Experience with project quoting and budgeting.

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in designing control systems for manufacturing or industrial automation.

Familiarity with HMI development and SCADA systems.

Project management experience is a plus.
