Job Description

The Avery Dennison Identification Solutions group is looking for a recent graduate Controls Engineer to join the team at our manufacturing site in Miamisburg, Ohio. In this position, you will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and provide continuous improvement and troubleshooting of all electrical/electronic systems.

This is an on-site position located at our manufacturing facility in Miamisburg, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support and maintenance of plant controls systems including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interface applications, Electronic Drives, and Instrumentation.

  • Assist Maintenance and Engineering with troubleshooting of process disturbances.

  • Provide support for manufacturing operations to resolve production and quality issues that arise on a day-to-day basis.

  • Perform effective root cause problem solving to solve process issues associated with equipment and/or machine performance.

  • Create and update electrical schematics and drawings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.  In lieu of a degree, someone with 5+ years of experience with PLCs, drive, and controls systems would also be qualified for consideration.

  • Expertise in automation, drive and control systems.

  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic and make system edits as needed.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills among all levels of the organization.
