Controls Install Technician I

• Assist teams of installers in developing building, testing, and commissioning building control systems.
• Uphold controls installation standards and best practices for current systems and methods
• Basic level understanding of mechanical systems in the buildings we serve
• Diagnose and repair controls systems malfunctions
• Learn to read and understand wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings and blueprints
• Conduct basic building control system installation, configuration, testing, and repair.
• Prepare documentation and reports on work status and completion.
• Must complete Pathway and pass performance checkout, as well as hold role for minimum 12 months until you can progress to Controls Install Tech 2. 

• 1-4 year of experience with building automation systems, mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, computer science, OR equivalent education
• Working knowledge of basic electronics, logic, and systems design.
• Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, web-enabled applications, and database software.
• High School Diploma

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent certification

• Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, network, and wiring drawings.
• Ability to manage professional e-mail communications
• Ability to manage and maintain a calendar and task management systems
• Ability to present a professional, positive, and helpful attitude always.
• Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic and timeliness
• Must uphold company values and demand the highest level of conduct from self and others
• Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work as part of a team and independently
