Acara Solutions is hiring a direct placement Field Service Controls Technician for our client headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.

What you'll do:
1. Supervise installation and startup of machines at the customers' plant and maintain all working components as determined by customers' needs.
2. Travel to customers' location(s) to supervise installation of our machines at the customer's plant and perform startup of new machine (traveling jobs typically last 2-3 days)
3. Perform field troubleshooting on both warranty and repair orders.
4. Review jobs in the shop as production is in progress for possible field service problems.
5. Perform electrical fault/functions on customer's machinery, including PLC.
6. Work in various software systems.
7. Assist with machine debug and run off on our floor.
8. Training of other employees and/or customers on machines.
9. Prepare service reports on jobs in the fields.
10. Assist Field Service Supervisor when required.
11. May assist in training of temporary /new employees.

What you'll get:

Pay: $28-$35/hr. based on experience

Hours: First shift hours

Worksite: Cincinnati, OH

Travel: 65-75%, OT from paid travel time

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-year College degree or Trade School Certification in electrical engineering
• 2+ years of technician experience in manufacturing automation or machine control
• Must have Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens knowledge and troubleshooting experience
• Must have valid driver's license
• No visible tattoos

Physical Demands:
Stand for prolonged periods of time on concrete floor. Will be required to kneel, squat, stoop, recline, climb, crawl, and/or bend on an as needed basis. Must be able to adjust visual focus. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, over 50 lbs. with assistance of a lifting device.

Work Environment:
Traditional shop atmosphere. Subject to temperature variance based on season. Loud noise level. May be exposed to various fumes or smells based on job.

Travel:
65-75% with all expenses paid by the company
