Conveyor Mechanic

Seeking conveyor mechanics to work night shift in the food industry in Tarboro, NC. Hours will be 7:00 pm to 7:00 am on alternating weekly shifts of days and nights.

• Installing, assembling, and maintaining conveyor systems, including belts, rollers, motors, and control systems. 
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical problems, such as belt misalignments, motor failures, or sensor malfunctions. 
• Replacing worn or damaged parts, including belts, rollers, bearings, and other components. 
• Adjusting and calibrating conveyor components to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
• Adhering to safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment. 
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections. 
• Working with other maintenance personnel, operations teams, and safety staff to ensure system reliability and productivity. 

• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components, including belts, rollers, bearings, and motors. 
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, including motors, sensors, and control systems. 
• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and simple electrical problems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. 
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to conveyor systems. 
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. 
• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues related to conveyor systems. 
• Must have dependable transportation.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Compensation based on experience - $20 - $25 per hour.
