JOB TITLE: Cook- Full time

shift: Monday-Friday AM Shift

Pay: Starting Pay $21.00-$23.00/hour DOQ

REPORTS TO: Housing Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS: WI Department of Health Food Certification

POSITION SUMMARY:

The cook is responsible for monthly menu preparation, assisting with purchases of food supplies, cooks and serves meals. The cook will be certified by the Department of Health in Food Management and maintain certificate during the time of employment with Comforts of Home Senior Living. The cook is responsible for sanitary conditions as required by the WI Department of Health and is knowledgeable on Heath Department inspections. Most importantly, the cook is responsible for providing quality meals to the residents of Comforts of Home Senior Living. Knowledge of dietary budgeting and staying within budget is a must. The cook must be flexible, willing to prepare home cooked meals with creativity and resourcefulness. Some direction and instruction to care givers is required.

I understand my routine work schedule may be adjusted to assist with Resident needs. I agree to accept all other duties as assigned.

I understand the following skills are needed and that I am capable of performing them OR I am willing to be trained.

• Proper sanitary practices
• Food preparation and cooking
• Menu planning
• First Aid Certification with skills to alleviate choking
• Communication skills with residents, visitors and the State of Wisconsin Survey Team
• Emergency procedures for flood, fire, power outage and tornado
