Apple Village Assisted Living in Layton is seeking a charismatic, fun and motivated individual to be a part of our kitchen teams! We're hiring a part-time cook that have a passion for cooking. Our cooks over see the kitchen staff, while on shift, to provide the best service for both residents in the preparation and serving of meals.

Hours:

Sunday & Monday 1 pm - 7 pm
Wednesday & Thursday 6:30 am - 2 pm

Some Weekends required

Holidays Required

Position Responsibilities:
-Cook prepares home-style meals that are served within a restaurant style setting.
-Meal preparation is completed according to menus and recipes with consideration for dietary and/or portion restrictions.
-Assist in keeping kitchen area clean and meeting all state health regulations.
-Interact with residents and other departments to maintain meal satisfaction.
-Perform other duties or tasks as assigned or required.

Position Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years or older
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must have current Food Handler Permit
Must pass pre-employment background check

Some cooking experience with large groups is preferred but not necessary.
