• Make sure ingredients and final products are freshly prepared
• Follow recipes, consisting of measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
• Bake, grill, steam food
• Occasionally serve food
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Handle and store ingredients and food safely and securely
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
• Clean and sanitize work areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Set up workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment
• Examine the quality and freshness of ingredients
• Monitor inventory levels
• Accommodate patients with dietary and dining needs 
• Operate broilers, ovens, grills and fryers etc.
