To prepare meals and snacks in accordance with menus planned by the Director of Support Services and approved by a Dietician. The cook is responsible for maintaining sanitary conditions in the kitchen, coolers, freezers, serving area and dining hall at all times. He/she supervises, teaches and role models for youth.

Prepare meals according to the menu and Dietary Supervisor.
Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
Prepare meals for special functions and packed meals.
Check items that are delivered, unpack and store them in the appropriate area.
Communicate with the Dietary Supervisor weekly for food and other supplies.
Record cooler, freezer, and food temperatures daily on the forms provided.
Where is this job based?
This is a full-time position on our Martinsburg, WV campus. Days and hours of work are Sunday through Saturday, depending on the shift, hours of operation can be 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This position is essential during inclement weather.
Do I need any prior experience?
Required Education and Experience
Must have prior training and a working knowledge of quantity food preparation.
One year of food service experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED
Two years food service experience
