Performs food preparation activities and cooks meals for guests; maintains sanitary and safe kitchen environment; performs side work and maintains inventory of needed supplies; and complies with health and safety standards in addition to Department of Health regulations.
The work is performed in the Zephyrus restaurant, a casual dining establishment located in an active 55+ community in Clearwater, FL. The position is overseen by the Kitchen Manager with the overall direction of the Property Manager. The position is full-time, benefits-eligible with scheduled shifts between 10am and 6:30pm.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Customer service principles.
• Experience with food service principles and practices.
• Knowledgeable in Department of Health regulations.
• Lift and carry unprepared and prepared food items, pots, pans and serving dishes.
• Utilize varied kitchen equipment/appliances such as stoves, microwave ovens, grills, knives, etc.
• Frequently move about the interior of assigned workstation.
