Something new is making waves in Portland Airport, and we want you to be part of it.
The soon-to-open JawFish Restaurant (11707 NE Airport Way, Portland, OR 97220) is building its founding culinary team — and this is your chance to get in on the ground floor of an exciting project.

JawFish is part of a bold, large-scale revitalization: the connected hotel is being completely transformed into a dual-branded Hyatt, with openings planned for 2026. While the hotel project takes shape, JawFish will be the first to open its doors — setting the stage for the property’s exciting new chapter. Right now, the restaurant may be under construction, but by late fall we’ll be ready to welcome guests — and you could be one of the first to help us turn this “ugly duckling into a swan.”

We are hiring Cooks at multiple levels (Cook 1, Cook 2, and Cook 3) to join our kitchen brigade. If you’re passionate about food, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to help shape the identity of a brand-new restaurant, this is the place for you.

Available Roles:

• Cook 1 (Line Cook/Expo Leader)




• Our most skilled line position — leading the charge during service and ensuring every plate is flawless.


• Requires 4–5 years of line experience in a busy kitchen, plus strong knowledge of health codes and kitchen safety.




• Cook 2 (Line Support/Versatile Cook)




• A mid-level role supporting the line with cooking, prep, and diverse kitchen responsibilities.


• Requires 2+ years of kitchen experience, with knowledge of food handling, storage, and prep techniques.




• Cook 3 (Prep Cook/Entry Level)




• The backbone of the kitchen, keeping everything running smoothly with essential prep work.


• 
  1 year of experience preferred, but a great attitude and eagerness to learn go a long way.
