Cook

The Line Cook position at New Albany Country Club is full-time, hourly.  We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced line cook who is passionate about creating high-quality dishes and providing an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen and a passion for culinary excellence.

Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18 to $20 per hour, paid biweekly. Additionally, employees are eligible for benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes according to club recipes and standards
- Ensure that all dishes are cooked and presented to the highest standards of quality and freshness
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create daily specials and menu items
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure appropriate stock is available for preparation
- Assist with the training and development of new kitchen staff members
- Follow all kitchen opening and closing procedures, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new cooking techniques
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth flow of service

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a line cook in a professional kitchen
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
- Strong knife skills and understanding of various cooking techniques
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus
