Silver Birch of Fort Wayne Cook Road is seeking a Cook to join our Culinary Team. Silver Birch is an Assisted Living Community dedicated to providing the best care, compassion, and customer service to seniors in our living communities through all roles. Silver Birch Cooks prepare exceptional meals to ensure a high-quality dining experience for our residents. We are looking for a cook who is passionate about the art of cooking and dedicated to making a difference daily in the lives of our residents, tantalizing their taste buds with culinary excellence, and fostering a vibrant community spirit among our coworkers.

As part of the Culinary Team at Silver Birch of Fort Wayne Cook Road, your responsibilities include, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences to our residents. This includes meticulously preparing, seasoning, cooking, and serving all items as outlined on the set menu for each meal, with careful attention to portion control standards and adherence to recipes. The Cook will diligently monitor and record temperatures of hot and cold foods during preparation, while also conducting thorough checks and inspections of food products and supplies upon delivery. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene is crucial, with regular cleaning and upkeep of equipment and work areas in strict compliance with safe food handling standards. Furthermore, the Cook will uphold our commitment to providing outstanding customer service, ensuring that each resident's dining experience is nothing short of exceptional!

Ideal candidates for this role must possess a high school diploma or GED, along with previous experience in food service, though this is preferred rather than required.
