Looking for part time / full time experienced line cook must have good work ethic and be reliable to work in historic family run bar/restaurant.

A Jersey Shore Landmark Tavern

Val’s Tavern, home of the original “Lobster Pie”, has been the landmark place to meet, dine, and drink in Rumson, New Jersey since 1942. At Val’s Tavern, our customers and staff are treated like family. Our mission at Val’s is to provide customers with an exceptional dining experience in a warm and welcoming environment with friendly service at a reasonable price.

The landmark Jersey Shore tavern is owned and operated by brothers Chris and James Smith. Val’s has recently been fully renovated and now offers an outdoor patio, a banquet room, and an open dining room and bar area. The tavern features live music on the weekends and the bar offers signature cocktails, 12 tap beers and plenty of TVs to catch all local high school, college, and pro games.

Chef Rob Burke has created a delicious menu that includes new Val’s favorites such as Angry Shrimp Risotto and our Sopranos Pork Chop to complement traditional offerings like our famous pizzas, wings, and burgers.
