Cook - Full Time - *$2000 Sign-On Bonus*

Name of Community is seeking a skilled and compassionate cook to join our team to prepare delicious meals according to the menu and creating a warm hospitality experience for all our residents, staff and visitors. In this position, you will enjoy working with a passionate team to provide quality service throughout our community.

What you will do:

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Establish line for each meal period and prepare plates according to resident diets, prepare, all residents late trays. 
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen. Monitor sanitation procedures for daily, weekly and monthly schedules
• Monitor all hot and cold temperature logs daily
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Check quality of ingredients

What is good to have:

• High School Diploma or GED - ServSafe Preferred 
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.
• Excellent customer service skills
• One year cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare or hospitality setting
