Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Cook to join the Garrett Popcorn team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing our signature popcorn recipes according to exact specifications, maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and quality. You’ll work behind the scenes in a fast-paced kitchen environment to ensure every batch meets our gold standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Handcraft Garrett Popcorn in small batches using proprietary cooking techniques and recipes.
Monitor cooking times and ingredient measurements to ensure consistent product quality.
Operate cooking kettles, mixers, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times.
Stock and rotate ingredients to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
Clean and sanitize all kitchen tools, equipment, and cooking areas after use.
Communicate with shop leadership regarding inventory needs or maintenance issues.
Support the front-of-house team when needed to ensure seamless shop operations.
Maintain a safe, organized, and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications:

At least 16 years of age.
Food Handler’s Certificate is required.
Prior experience in a kitchen, food production, or food service environment is a plus.
Ability to follow precise recipes and procedures consistently.
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Strong work ethic and team-first attitude.
