Cook - Janesville

This is a Part Time/Part Year position (20 hours per week) that will take place on Tuesday thru Friday at our Janesville location. This is an hourly position at a rate of $16.82 per hour. The cook will provide for nutritional services that contribute to the development and socialization of enrolled infants, toddlers, and children by preparing and serving a variety of developmentally appropriate high-quality foods, in compliance with all applicable Federal, State rules and regulations and food safety and sanitation procedures including those related to the safe storage, preparation and service of food.

Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license and vehicle. Additional training in food service operations or production kitchens and knowledge and experience with CACFP preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The employee primarily works indoors within a school building. The noise level in the work environment ranges from low to moderate, depending on the location of the work being performed.
• The employee occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions for short periods of time, and may need to travel.
• The employee may encounter illness and/or be exposed to situations that require CPR or first-aid to be administered.
• The employee works with equipment capable of causing injury if proper precautions are not exercised.
