We are looking for Full-time and Part-time Cooks! 

Sylce coal Fired Pizza Company at the Embassy Suites Hotel SLYCE boasts a fun, clean and collaborative open kitchen! This means that you are visible to curious guests and that they can see you “perform” your job. We want them to witness the passion that you have for our delicious menu! You will be expected to present yourself in a professional and respectful manner at all times while in the workplace. You will be working with coal fired ovens, these run between 800- and 900-degrees Fahrenheit. At these temperatures menu items will cook rather quickly, so it is extremely important that you are focused and aware of what is in your oven at all times. Additional Tasks: Prepping your line: knife work, filling containers, portioning product, using slicer, etc. Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock. Knows and complies consistently with the restaurant’s standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.  Assist with banquets when needed

• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to support a smooth service period
• Handles, stores, and rotates all food products and supplies according to restaurant policies an procedures
• Inspect and clean, and maintain food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
• Balling dough at the end of the shift
• Transporting food product 
• Daily cleaning tasks
• Maintaining a good line of communication between fellow coworkers
• Preparing all appetizers and sandwiches to SLYCE standards
• Assist with Banquet prep when assigned

Hours include: 

Full-time: 11am-7:30pm

Part-time: 3pm-11:30pm

Requirements

• Must have great stamina and be able to stand and work on feet for long periods of time.
• Working weekends and holidays will be required
• Two or more years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking is preferred
• Must have a friendly, positive and professional attitude at all times
• Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50+ pounds
• Must obtain food handler's certificate
• Candidate will be working at the Embassy Suites Hotel
