Job Description - Coordinator 1, CTE & Perkins Grants

Location: Hattie Mae White \n\nDepartment: CTE - Finance, Infrastructure, \u0026 Ops \n\nArea:District Wide \n\nContract Months:12 \n\nSalary Range: $75,000.00 \u2013 $95,000.00 \n\nAcademic Year: 26-27 \n\n## JOB SUMMARY\n\nThe Coordinator 1 for GTE \u0026 Perkins Grants ensures all programs, of study are properly equipped to maximize student attainment of industry-related skills, This position reports to the Director of CTE finance. This position monitors the equitable of federal CTE funding, manages the purchase, inventory, and maintenance of CTE-specific equipment, technology, supplies, and materials monitoring all program needs through an equity lens, and trains the team on financial procedures and compliance as it relates to CTE state and Perkins funding.\n\n## MAJOR DUTIES \u0026 RESPONSIBILITIES\n\n1. Manage and lead processing of purchases made with federal Perkins Funds, including, but not limited to, compliance with guidelines as set forth by the state, and utilizing appropriate district procedures. \n2. Collaborate with Coordinator 2, Program of Study, to determine the equipment, tools, technology, curriculum, and test preparation materials related to industry-based certifications required for programs of study; provide training to program specialists on financial rules as it relates to program needs. \n3. Monitor and ensure Perkins Grant compliance to prevent issues such as supplanting and improper use of federal grants funds; train team on Perkins compliance rules\n\n## MAJOR DUTIES \u0026 RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED\n\n4. Collaborate with team members to plan and organize meetings, workshops, and events, including scheduling, logistics, and materials preparation, including training team on financial requirements. \n5. Create and lead processes for ensuring GTE team decides and communicates on school requests for CTE purchases, including training team. \n6. Regularly engages customers, clients, and end users, including through frequent school visits, to gather personal feedback on the impact of activities and needs. \n7. Other duties as assigned.\n\n## EDUCATION\n\nAssociate Degree or 60 hours \nApplicants who do not meet these education qualifications may be considered if they have a unique combination of education and work experiences that indicate potential for success in this role.\n\n## WORK EXPERIENCE\n\nAt least 3 years working in project management, preferably in a similar industry or organization.\n\n## SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION\n\nOffice equipment (e.g., computer, copier) \nStrong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools. \nExcellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. \nDemonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams towards achieving project goals and deliverables. \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. \nStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset. \nProficient in project management software and tools for planning, tracking and reporting. \nKnowledge of budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation principles. \nAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. \nStrong attention to detail and quality, ensuring high standards of project deliverables. \nFlexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities. \nStrong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks. \nProfessional certifications in project management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) are desirable. \nAbility to travel as required.\n\n## LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nWork Leadership. Regularly provides project management or team leadership to a group of two or more day-to-day direction to staff; may become directly involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. Responsible for assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring application of policies and procedures. Receives assignments in the form of objectives, with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides input to hiring, performance and budget.\n\n## WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT\n\nWork involves the application of moderately complex procedures and tasks that are quite varied. Independent judgment is often required to select and apply the most appropriate of available resources. Ongoing supervision is provided on an \"as needed\" basis.\n\n## BUDGET AUTHORITY\n\nCompiles and organizes data and figures. \nAnalyzes and interprets data and figures.\n\n## PROBLEM SOLVING\n\nDecisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude but are still subject to approval. Job is occasionally expected to recommend new solutions to problems and improve existing methods or generate new ideas,\n\n## IMPACT OF DECISIONS\n\nDecisions have moderate impact to the facility/department or division, causing increased satisfaction or dissatisfaction; producing efficiencies or delays; promoting or inhibiting personal intellectual or professional development; and/or contributing to financial gain or expense, Errors may be serious, usually not subject to direct verification or check, causing losses such as improper cost calculations, overpayment or improper utilization of labor, materials, or equipment. Effect usually confined to the organization itself and is short term.\n\n## COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONS\n\nCollaborate and solve problems - works with others to resolve problems, clarify, or interpret complex information/policies, and provide initial screening/negotiations without approval authority. Interactions are typically with customers, senior level professional staff, and managers.\n\n## CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS\n\nRegularly assesses and diffuses complex, and escalated customer issues. Takes personal responsibility and accountability for solving systemic customer service problems.
