Position Summary: Excel Sports Management is looking for a passionate and energetic self-starter to support our Social Media team. This person will assist with day-to-day execution of social media content for the agency. This includes writing copy, helping to publish content and assisting with managing content calendars among other duties. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Social Media Content and Strategy. This role will be based in the Excel New York office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Publish content across agency channels


• Assist with managing content calendars for the agency


• Brainstorm new content ideas for Excel platforms


• Monitor daily social coverage of clients to identify engagement opportunities


• Assist with day-to-day functions of the social team 


• All other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required


• 1-2 years of direct experience in social content management and posting for a team, league or other sports entity


• Basic video editing and Photoshop experience preferred 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

• Must be passionate about social media content and trends


• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as demonstrated ability to write creative copy for social media 


• Must have excellent organizational skills, focus and attention to detail


• Must have the ability to manage multiple deadlines and balance short-term and long-term projects


• Must have the ability to work outside working hours when needed


• Must be a self-starter who can work on a team in a dynamic organization


• Must be able to think strategically, creatively, and problem-solve


• Must have excellent time management skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment

The pay range for this position is: $67,500- $70,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
