Job Description for Copper Splicers:

We are seeking experienced and motivated Copper Splicers to join our team in Indiana and Michigan. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of copper cable infrastructure, ensuring high-quality service delivery. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.

Key Responsibilities for Copper Splicers:

• Splice, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair copper cables in both aerial and underground environments.
• Perform cable preparation, bonding, and grounding per industry standards.
• Conduct testing and analysis using tools such as TDRs, OTDRs, and multi-meters.
• Work with service technicians to resolve customer issues effectively.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on job sites.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment used for splicing operations.
• Complete documentation and reports on work performed.

Qualifications & Requirements for Copper Splicers:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in copper splicing.
• Strong understanding of copper cable splicing techniques, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Must satisfy company required tools and safety equipment checklist.
• Must have own truck, van, or SUV with a ladder rack.
• Must have own tools to perform the job.
• Smartphone and Laptop are required.
• Familiarity with industry-standard tools, including cable splicers, multi-meters, and fault locators.
• Industry-related certifications are a plus (e.g., OSHA, First Aid/CPR, etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, climb poles, and work in confined spaces.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.
