Copy of Truck Driver

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The truck driver role will assist as needed with both driving and with warehouse operations.

· Have reliable transportation to get to and from work

· Good communication / customer service skills

· Ability to multitask and possess written skills

· Team player, ability to take direction, and positive attitude

· Occasional building maintenance and vehicle maintenance, if candidate has experience in these areas is a bonus.

· Organize parts inventory in warehouse.

· Delivery / pick up of customer units (over the road truck/trailer combo)

· Delivery / pick up of customer semi-trailers with company tractor

· Delivery / pick up of customer replacement parts with company pickup truck.

· DOT and non-DOT truck and trailer inspections

· Loading and strapping in load / off loading

· Face to face customer interactions

· Managing vehicle documentation including timesheets, pre-trip inspection sheets

· Load and unload trucks with forklift.

· Assist warehousing and production as needed when hauling is not required.

· Performs other related duties as directed.

Experience, Education, and Licensure/Certification Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Must have and maintain class A CDL Driver's License

· Have a clean MVR and be insurable by company auto policy

· No moving infractions within past two years

· At least two years of work experience in a warehouse required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Ability to work additional days and overtime as required.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.

· Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.

· Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistently meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance

· Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

· Must be able to work in a fast paced, loud, and labor-intensive environment in variable temperatures (from outdoor heat to indoor refrigerated coolers).

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

· Must have the ability to move around the warehouse.

· Must have visual acuity (ability to see well and close up) to visually sort hops.
