Shape the next generation of surgeons while advancing exceptional patient care in rural Minnesota!
As Core Faculty, you will support the Program Director, Site Director, Program Administrator, and faculty in the educational, clinical, and scholarly activities of the residency program.
Responsibilities include fostering a positive learning environment for residents and other learners; developing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum and educational programming; providing high-quality, patient-centered surgical care; supporting resident recruitment and orientation; contributing to didactic and scholarly activities; and helping ensure the effective operation of the continuity clinic.
In partnership with the Site Director, you will lead or support a focused area of program development aligned with your interests and the program’s goals, such as simulation, quality improvement, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), research, or clinical ethics.
This role offers the opportunity to model excellence in both general surgery and academic medicine while helping train the next generation of surgeons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to improving healthcare in rural communities while serving a diverse patient population.
Schedule
Part Time | .05-.2 | Hybrid work – Onsite St. Cloud (Remainder of FTE will be dedicated to clinical practice)

Pay and Benefits
Salary range: $250,000 - $500,000 per year
Pay may be determined by factors such as education, experience, skills, knowledge, location, and internal equity
Salary and salary range are based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate
May be eligible for additional pay through bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based (RVU) compensation.

Qualifications
Required:
Completion of General Surgery Residency Training
Preferred:
3 years experience as a general surgeon
Active member of the American College of Surgeons
