Job Purpose

The Cornerboard Machine Operator plays a key role in the production of the cornerboard production line. Under the supervision of the Accessories Shift Foreman, the Cornerboard Machine Operator is responsible for the unloading and skid building of the finished product. The Cornerboard Machine Operator will have the opportunity to experience other key jobs on the production line with the ability to grow and advance within the department.

Duties and Responsibilities

Understanding and safe operation of the cut-off saw and packaging equipment.

Understanding of quality requirements of the finished product.

Ability to understand work order direction and description. Knowledge that the product meets customer demand.

Unload and package finished product based on work order description.

Prepare upcoming skids for incoming finished product.

Understanding of label requirements (location) for the finished product.

Basic understanding of production reporting paperwork.

Utilize tape measure to confirm accuracy of cornerboard at the start of every work order.

Keep a clean and safe work area at all times.

Requirements

Highschool diploma

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs throughout the shift.

Reliable transportation.

Previous experience in the production of cardboard, cornerboard, angleboard, or paper edge board a plus

Experience in a fast paced environment is a plus.
