Corporate Accounting Manager

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role leads the corporate accounting function and partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. The position plays a critical role in managing the monthly close, strengthening processes, and driving efficiency through modern financial practices, hands-on leadership, and team development. This role provides a strong pathway for growth into future Controller-level responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the accounting team through coaching, performance management, and clear accountability.


• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial records.


• Own the month-end close process and oversee timely, compliant financial reporting.


• Manage the external audit and coordinate outsourced corporate, sales/use, and property tax filings.


• Prepare and oversee monthly Board reporting packages and key financial statements.


• Partner with Financial Systems Supervisor on system implementations, enhancements, and issue resolution.


• Maintain GAAP-compliant policies, procedures, and internal controls.


• Oversee fixed asset and depreciation accounting for book and tax.


• Serve as the subject matter expert for GL, AP, fixed asset, and tax systems; provide user training as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Active CPA license required.


• 5+ years of accounting leadership experience.


• Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, AP, journal entries, and taxation.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.


• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems.


• Proven ability to train, review, and assign work to deliver high-quality results.


• Ability to travel to vendors or other Conestoga Wood locations if required.
