Job Description - Corporate Counsel

Concord Servicing is a technology-enabled credit administration firm that provides end-to-end servicing solutions for loan and lease portfolios. We deliver comprehensive services including loan administration, payment processing, portfolio analysis and reporting, and delinquency/default management, all supported by advanced analytics and secure integrations. With more than 30 years of experience, we serve clients across markets such as commercial finance, home improvement, solar, state energy programs, and vacation ownership, helping partners optimize credit operations while ensuring compliance and exceptional customer experience.

The Corporate Counsel is responsible for providing comprehensive legal and business support to Concord Servicing. Key duties include negotiating and drafting service agreements, collaborating with management to deliver practical solutions, and coordinating with external counsel on international legal matters. The role also oversees business licensing, and handles consumer complaints, regulatory issues, and litigation, ensuring compliance and effective risk management throughout the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Negotiating and drafting agreements for the company’s services and use of third-party vendors
  • Provide strategic legal advice and support on key business decisions and transactions
  • Supervise outside counsel’s activities and budget
  • Handling consumer complaints, CFPB and agency issues, and litigation matters
  • Providing advice and drafting policies and procedures for employment-related/HR matters
  • Participation in high-level management meetings
  • A current State Bar of Arizona law license, in good standing
  • 2+ years of legal experience in a corporate legal department
  • Experience representing clients in contract drafting and negotiations, and counseling clients on business transactions or financial services/banking
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in collaboration with legal and business partners worldwide
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail, with a track record of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and consistently meeting deadlines
