Corporate Counsel 2 - Privacy & Data Compliance

We are looking for a pragmatic problem solver with a passion for, and experience with, privacy, security, and technology who can work well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. This is an in-person role and is based in our Atlanta (GA) office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Draft, negotiate, and close privacy and data protection agreements with customers. 

• Support commercial attorneys on data protection issues in negotiations.  

• Support department management with evaluating security-related issues in negotiations. 

• Research and analyze new and evolving data governance regulations related to privacy and data compliance. 

• Support continuous improvements of templates, policies and processes to support privacy team compliance efforts. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of substantive privacy or commercial legal experience, with an expressed interest in privacy and/or data compliance

• Knowledge of (or demonstrated interest in) worldwide data protection regulations, including GDPR and HIPAA

• Exceptional organizational, project management, and prioritization skills

• The ability to think and execute both strategically and tactically

• Outstanding written and oral communications skills

• The ability to work with a wide variety of people, at all levels in the organization, in a fast-paced environment

• Service-oriented, professional and strong integrity
