Job Title: Director of Accounting - Corporate

Company Overview:
A leading company in the industrial manufacturing industry, our client is seeking a Director of Accounting to join their team. 

Position Overview:
The Director of Accounting will report directly to the CFO of the business and play a pivotal role in overseeing the accounting and reporting functions. This position offers an opportunity to shape the accounting department's direction, implement improvements, and elevate the team culture. This role requires hands-on leadership to drive both accounting accuracy and team satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all accounting operations, including month-end closing, account reconciliations, leasing, and financial statements in alignment with US GAAP.
• Collaborate with the FP&A team to ensure accurate and timely reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support the inventory management process from an accounting perspective, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
• Maintain strong control over balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and standards.
• Provide technical support and correct accounting errors proactively.
• Drive change management within the team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment. 
• Facilitate feedback, communicate clearly, and support a shift toward a more engaged and motivated team culture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA is a plus).
• Prior experience in a leadership role within accounting.
• At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP. 
• Strong technical skills in accounting and financial reporting, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficient with ERP systems, with experience in ERP implementation being a plus.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
