A medical services company in New York City is looking to fill an immediate need with the addition of a Corporate Events Manager to join the Marketing Team. In this role, the Corporate Events Manager will be responsible for collaborating with the HR & Marketing team to develop and execute all events for employees - in-person, hybrid, and remote
Responsibilities
The Corporate Events Manager will:
- Serve as the lead for developing and executing all events for employees - in-person, hybrid, and remote
- Plan and facilitate logistics for all events, including guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, entertainment, transportation, equipment, decor
- Research, select, and facilitate contracts with each vendor and venue for each event including catering, photography, hotel blocks for accommodations, workspaces, etc.
- Make site visits, and lead pre-event and post-event meetings when necessary (such as planning meetings and post mortems)
- Maintain and build a comprehensive database of industry contacts, vendors, and venues
- Troubleshoot and handle any issues that arise on the event day
- Communicate with employees and internal stakeholders before, during, and after each event.
- Ensure all meeting attendees receive necessary information about the event in advance and any prep materials.
- Develop and manage a budget for the year's events
- Develop contingency plans for events and make necessary changes as needed
- Process expense reports following each event according to company guidelines
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of of experience in Event Management and/or Hospitality
- Excellent project management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently, under deadlines, and handle multiple priorities
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and ability to communicate across departments and with leadership
- Proficient use of MS Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Desired Skills:
